Do I Have HAE?

1. I have had swelling of my face, hands or genitals that did not get better when I took an antihistamine or other treatment to reduce swelling.

2. Before I noticed the swelling or pain, I had a non-itchy rash or felt a tight sensation in the affected area.

3. I have had pain or tightening in my neck/airway and have had trouble breathing that did not get better when I took a pain reliever, antihistamine or other treatment to reduce pain or improve breathing.

4. I have had one or more episodes of severe stomach pain, with nausea and/or vomiting that did not get better when I took pain relievers or other stomach medicines, such as antacids.

5. I have had these cases of unexplained swelling and/or pain since I was a child.

6. One or more of my family members has complained about similar symptoms.
